Sarah Griesemer is a post-doctoral resident with a Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, and is currently supervised by Dr. Krista Jordan. Her training has focused on working with children and families in school, outpatient, detention, and residential settings. She offers child, family and individual adult therapy, as well as psychological and psychoeducational assessment. Her specific areas of expertise include:
- Treatment of depression, anxiety, and behavioral problems.
- Working with victims of trauma (such as working with victims of physical abuse and sexual abuse, or those witnessing a traumatic experience)
- Teaching how mindfulness meditation can help you manage pain, sadness, and anxiety
- Parent Guidance sessions to provide you with support and tips for managing your children's behavioral problems
- Diagnosing for Special Education, and Section 504 services
- Social Skills groups for children and adolescents
- School consultation services to help you be a better advocate for your child, or to help you understand your own rights
- Collaborative assessment and Psychoeducational Assessment to answer questions about learning, behavior, career, and life problems
